Translator Lydia asked her mother to assist her by reading the Shatikha translation of John’s Gospel aloud while Lydia back-translated it into literal English in preparation for a consultant’s check.
Recently translator Paul preached an evangelistic message to some Shatikha people that drew upon a tradition of the majority religion and used a Shatikha word that means Amen:
